Oxford Bus Museum Morris Motors and Classic Car Day 19.09.2021

On Sunday 19 September the Morris Motors Museum, which is part of the Oxford Bus Museum, is holding a ‘Morris Motor and Classic Cars Day’. In addition to its own collection of 20 Morris cars, owners of both Morris and other makes of classic cars are invited to bring their vehicles. Owners wishing to attend should contact Paul Statham, whose email address is rp_statham@yahoo.co.uk. Volunteers and owners will be on hand to talk about the vehicles on display.
The museum’s collection includes 20 Morris cars built during the lifetime of William Morris, later Lord Nuffield, including a Bullnose Morris car and a Bullnose van, a rare Nuffield tractor set in a farmyard scene, a 1950s village garage scene and motoring memorabilia. There are explanatory panels about the life of William Morris and his Cowley factory, including information on the factory’s military output during the two World Wars.
The Morris Motors Museum is located on the A4095 next to Hanborough Railway station. The postcode is OX29 8LA. Exhibitors will park in the museum grounds and visitors in the main station car park which is free on a Sunday.
