Key points:
- All-new modern and heritage bus festival
- Superb uncluttered displays on hard standing appealing to photographers
- Access to Statfold’s world-renowned narrow gauge railway museum and rides
- Free entry for visiting vehicle driver and two passengers
In partnership with Transport Museum Wythall, the all-new STATBUS rally and running day will be held on Sunday, September 24th, making it the go-to autumn bus festival and ending a busy rally season in style.
STATBUS will bring together a wide range of modern and vintage buses and coaches from across the country in themed displays, also offering rides into the Staffordshire countryside plus a regular shuttle service for visitors to the show from Tamworth station.
Statfold’s wide open spaces have plenty of hard standing for bus displays ensuring good visibility for photographers, whilst there will be abundant trade stands to tempt your wallet, all under cover.
Transport Museum Wythall already has a number of vehicles from its collection on display at Statfold Transport Museum alongside the heavy and light commercial vehicle collection.
Visitors will have full access to the railway museum with more than 20 working locomotives on display, plus rides on the new Mease Valley Light Railway to the woodland trail and on the established railways and tramway.
And there’s plenty for the family in Toby’s Barn soft play area, Toby’s Dig It and Strawberry Play Park.
Owners and operators of modern and heritage vehicles are welcome to attend the show where you can display your vehicle and if you wish, choose to run on the regular service on the road.
Please visit www.statfold.com for more information and to book your display space. Note that entry to the event for visiting vehicles will be free for the driver and two additional passengers.
The event will be open from 10am to 4pm and ticket prices will start at £13.95 for adults and £11.95 for children, with concession and family tickets also available.
Transport Museum Wythall has partnered with Statfold Country Park for two seasons by supplying exhibits for the Statfold Transport Museum. It also runs the regular heritage bus shuttle to Tamworth station at all major Statfold events.
TMW’s expertise in running Busfest@Gaydon, now establishing itself as a major summer bus festival and in its second year, will be used in managing visiting vehicle and trade stand bookings at STATBUS and establishing the running timetable for the day.
