The Rootes Archive Centre Trust launches Rootes Heritage Day

Published: 14/03/2022

The Rootes Archive Centre Trust (RACT) are holding their first Rootes Heritage Day at the British Motor Museum at Gaydon on Sunday 17th July 2022 and hope to attract a wide cross section of Rootes and later models to the event.

Working in conjunction with the events team at the British Motor Museum the Trust hope this will become an annual event at this superb venue attracting both individuals and club rallies along with many traders of Rootes parts.

Entry can be booked via the British Motor Museum website: Rootes Heritage Day (britishmotormuseum.co.uk)

Exhibiting vehicles entry costs £9 for a driver and passenger and includes access to the Rootes Heritage display area, the Museum and the Collections Centre so offers great value for money.

Andy Bye, RACT Chairman said “we felt it was time we took the initiative and tried to get all of the Rootes  community together for one big event where we can celebrate the history of Rootes and beyond. We are also hoping many ex-employees will join us to celebrate their working lives in the motor industry"
