What’s on show:
-
1929 Daimler 35/120 Limousine with sleeve-valve engine for which the electrical systems and connections will be restored.
-
A Sleeve-Valve engine demonstration to compliment the 35/120 exhibit. The special characteristics of sleeve valve engines include their quiet operation, smooth power delivery, high torque at low RPM, efficient combustion, tolerance to poor fuel quality, and historical significance. While they are less common today, they remain an interesting and distinctive engineering solution in the history of the internal combustion engine.
-
1955 Daimler Conquest for which a new windscreen and trim will be fitted.
-
1966 Daimler V8 250 Saloon – a beautiful blue V8 engine medal winner which may receive a new heater system.
-
1960 Daimler SP250 Sports Car – another medal winner which is always very popular.
-
A very rare cut-away version of the famous Turner V8 engine, used in the saloon and sports-car exhibits.
-
A Daimler Pre-select gearbox demonstration This drew much interest from visitors at the NEC Restoration Show last March. The Daimler gearbox is an engineering marvel that distinguishes itself through its innovative design and driving experience. Unlike conventional manual transmissions, the pre-select gearbox offers a unique blend of convenience, efficiency, and performance, making it a standout feature in Daimler vehicles of the past.
Don't miss this opportunity to witness the beauty of vintage automobiles and celebrate the craftsmanship that defines the Daimler and Lanchester legacy.
