A rare left-hand drive 1978 Ferrari BB512 will headline Anglia Car Auction’s final
Classic sale of 2022 on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th November.
One of 929 cars produced for the global market, Ferrari’s Berlinetta Boxer was
originally launched as the 365 GT4 BB in 1973 but was upgraded in 1976 and
became the BB512. It was to be powered by a carburettor fed 5-litre mid-mounted
flat 12 engine that produced 360 BHP.
Finished in the best colour combination, it was purchased by the vendor in 2015
when it was first registered in the UK and has remained in storage since. The
odometer records just 15,982 kilometres.
Prior to the auction, the BB512 will have a cam belt service by a well-known
specialist. The spare wheel, toolkit, cover, jack and copper hammer are retained
within the car. It's history file contains the original marketing brochure, workshop
manual, export certificate and HM Customs document.
With an estimate of £185,000 - £205,000, this Ferrari is Italian motoring at its finest
and a huge investment opportunity for discerning collector.
Speaking of collectors, there are around 50 classics offered at ‘no reserve’, giving
potential buyers the opportunity to swell their garages with highly sought marques
at a bargain price.
Classics such as a stunning two-door manual 1963 Alvis TD21, one of nine cars
from a private, long-term collection belonging to a retired engineer. This Alvis,
finished in Alice Blue, has had just three owners from new including the vendor

Several of the vendor's cars have been rescued over several years and subject to
restoration only to remain within his own storage. These include a leap of Jaguars
– a 1968 E-Type Series 1 4.2 Roadster, a 1991 MkII 2.4 M/OD, a 1954 MkVII
Saloon, and a 1955 XK140 FHC LHD project car.
For those looking for a winter project, Anglia Car Auctions is offering around 20
projects including a 1975 Montreal LHD, one of three Alfa Romeos needing
restoration. With an estimate of £12,000-£14,000, it has been off the road since
1984, so only has 4,215 miles on the clock.
As well as an incredible line-up of cars and motorcycles, the Classic sale also has
over 300 lots of automobila and the unique opportunity to purchase one of 68
