Established in Cardiff in 2013, Body & Soul Autoworks was more of a rebirth for its founder, Ged Bermingham, having previously run VW Specialist Aircooled Revival in the city during the 90s. The birth of his daughter (and a need to satisfy the requirements of a mortgage company) led to him finding work for several other establishments for a while, until the time was right, and Body & Soul was born out of the realisation that South Wales now had a real need for a genuine classic restoration workshop. Although still specialising in the restoration and repair of Volkswagen and Porsche models, Body & Soul now restores and repairs many other makes and models too, from pre-war to modern classics. 

Since the move to bigger premises in 2020, Body & Soul have continued to invest in equipment, including a comprehensive fab-shop to enable the fabrication of panel work, meaning we can replicate panels in steel or aluminium that are no longer available to buy. This means more complicated restorations can be carried out without out-sourcing for products that can often be of poor quality, or on a waiting list for months on end. 

The premises in Cardiff’s Bessemer Road, is set up with customers in mind – from the cosy reception with fresh coffee on tap – we welcome you with a hands-on and inclusive service.

Body & Soul Autoworks are also Novol for Classic Cars Golden Partners, meaning all repaints and restorations come with a comprehensive warranty, amongst other benefits. We also always use the best products and materials available, with 3M and Festool tie-ins.

We are Motul stockists, and re-sellers of Dynamat and Powerflex products. There is also a Merchandising line available for sale, with constantly updating stock.
