Vintage Guy Arab III to star at Dundee Bus Fest

Published: 11/09/2024

The Dundee Museum of Transport is staging Dundee Bus Fest on Sunday 15 September.

Come along to the museum this Sunday to see a wide selection of classic and modern buses and coaches including the vintage Guy Arab III. This Duple double decker dates back to the second world war when bus operators were restricted to basic utility specifications.

You can also see the Tayside open top Volvo Ailsa bus that carried the Dundee United team on their victory parade after winning the Scottish Cup in 1994! And if the weather is kind to us, you may even get the opportunity to board the bus for a mystery tour around the city.

Angus Transport Group will also be bringing the newly restored Strathtay Optare minibus for its first outing since its restoration and donation by Stagecoach East Scotland. The group will also be running a shuttle bus between the Museum at Market Street and the south end of Whitehall Street every 20 minutes between 10am and 4.50pm on Sunday.

Join us for an exciting day out with all the family. Doors open at 10am with last entry at 4pm but get down early to see all the displays and exhibitions. We’re incredibly grateful to our event sponsor Barnetts Nissan for their generous support.
