Revised date for 2025 Bodle Street Green charity vehicle gathering

Published: 06/01/2025

The growing diverse classic vehicle gathering at Bodle Street Green – a little village in East Sussex – is confirmed for 2025, but with a new date.

While it normally coincides with the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC) Drive-It Day, the non-availability of key organising personnel means that for 2025 ‘BSG’ will be held instead on Sunday 6 April.

It will be raising money for Prostate Cancer UK and the Village Hall Fund. This year the organisers have attracted Wardle Fletcher and HJ Pugh as commercial sponsors.

Last year’s event saw 345 vehicles of all types as cars, motor-cycles, commercial vehicles, military, steam cars, road steam, tractors and stationary engines came together.

The 2024 event saw 72 tractors (ranging in ages from 1913-1992) and some Model T Fords take part in a 17-mile road run.

People came with vehicles to the event from as far afield as Hampshire and the Boroughs of London and were all given a free refreshment and cake voucher, as a thank-you for making the effort.

For 2025, this is to be repeated, with a free tea/coffee and cake voucher, for everyone who brings a display vehicle.

Inside the village hall were seven model railway layouts, refreshments while The White Horse pub opposite, was the focus for those who wish to have a drink.
