Drive It Day Sunday 27th April 2014
New plans have been finalised with five venues to make the 2014 annual Drive it Day as interesting as possible for the public and especially owners of historic road legal motorised vehicles - cars, commercial vehicles and motor cycles, more than thirty years old. This event, launched and publicised by The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs Limited (FBHVC) commemorates the 64 cars that left London on a 1000 mile trial in April 1900.The objective for 2014 is to attract as many up and running eligible vehicles as possible out on the roads for this “Special” day.
The organisers have made arrangements with the following venues:
- Heritage Motor Centre Gaydon
- Brooklands Museum
- Bressingham Steam and Garden Centre ,
- Cotswold Motoring Museum
- Lakeland Motor Museum
Preferred parking will be available and volunteer marshals will be on hand. The location is offerred either as a visiting point, or byeway en route to somewhere else. Possible entry concessions will be explained on arrival by FBHVC marshals who will request a signature, and should have some form of FBHVC token acknowledging the visit .
