Gearing up for a celebratory Truck Fest!

The British Motor Museum is gearing up for a celebratory truck fest when it hosts the Retro Truck Show on Saturday 7 & Sunday 8 September.  Truck enthusiasts can see up to 400 modern and classic trucks at the two-day show which celebrates some of the top truck manufacturers including Volvo, Scania, DAF, Foden and ERF trucks. 

In its ninth year, the show is one of the Museum’s most popular shows and features some of the best modern trucks produced between 1970 and 2000. Many trucks travel from all over the UK as well as from France, Belgium and the Netherlands to take part in this nostalgic and family friendly show.

Trucks that fall into the age category of 1970 to 2000 are welcome to attend. There are no trophies or judging, just the opportunity for truck fans to get together and admire the displays. In addition, there will be an Indoor Model Show as well as indoor and outdoor trade areas. Camping is available on the Friday and Saturday nights with live entertainment, licensed bar and disco on the Saturday evening.

Tom Caren, Show Manager at the British Motor Museum said “This unique show is a great day out for truck owners, drivers, enthusiasts as well as the public. The show has a laid back and relaxed atmosphere setting it aside from other truck shows. Seeing so many trucks from different decades is a great spectacle to see. Many are over 40 years old but in such great condition!

Visitors can also enjoy exploring the Museum, Collections Centre and the new exhibition “The Car. The Future. Me” as entry is included within the Show ticket. Advance truck entry costs £20 per vehicle and includes entry for the driver and one passenger, with additional passenger passes available to purchase. Show tickets on the day cost £18 for adults, £10 for children and £45 for a family, but discounted tickets can be purchased online in advance. Gift Aid Annual Passes, Tesco Club cards or any other promotional offers are not valid on Sunday 8 September.
