FBHVC and partners show 20 varied exhibits at 40th NEC Classic Car Show

The world’s biggest classic vehicle club event, the Classic Motor Show, celebrated its 40th anniversary in style with more clubs, cars and attendees over the three show days. The seven halls were buzzing from the minute the doors opened on Friday 8 November.
The Federation Village at the NEC, Birmingham, hosted 20 vehicles, including mopeds, motorcycles, cars, a bus, lorry, and a 25lb field gun, thanks to our stand partners. Just before the show opened at 10am on Friday 8 November, the stand teams are gathered together for a team photo.
With over 3,000 vehicles on show across seven halls, this year’s show had a world record 338 motoring clubs showcasing various marques and models. In total, 71,520 enthusiasts attended over the three show days (71,290 in 2023).
The Federation's contribution to the gathering saw it, and its partners, stage its largest-ever display on a 1,400m2 stand by the main entrance to Hall 5. Called the Federation Village, exhibits came from the Transport Museum, Wythall; Military Vehicles Trust, Federation Skills Trust, Great British Car Journey, National Motor Museum, Genus and individuals.
The show's first order of business was to reveal to visitors who would be inducted into the show’s new Hall of Fame. This included FBHVC chairman David Whale who was named 'Industry Ambassador'.
The next Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show will be held at Birmingham’s NEC from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 November 2025. Check the website www.necclassicmotorshow.com for the latest updates.
