FBHVC members capture over 3m miles worth of emissions
Published: 02/05/2023
Yes, that's right! The FBHVC family; its clubs, traders and individuals, have now captured over 3 million miles worth of emissions, equating to 1,890 tonnes of CO2 being sequestered and resulting in over 4,200 trees being planted!
This is a brilliant number, and we are still only in the second year of the scheme. As a community we're making a real impact on the environment and on our reputation with the wider public. As always - thank you to everyone that has supported the scheme!
It's not just individuals taking part in the scheme, we're also helping clubs, events and traders to combat their carbon footprint, read on to see a little more on who we've been working with....
British Racing Motors go green!
As they 're-awaken' the marquee we're incredibly proud to announce that BRM have chosen to use the FBHVC's carbon capture scheme to carbon balanced all of their 2022 and 2023 emissions for running their reproduction of Chassis IV.
This means that emissions from the car itself and its transportation to and from events will be balanced out - allowing this historic brand to flourish in the 21st century.
The London Ambulance Service, NHS Trust - Historic Fleet
The NHS collection preserves 26 historic ambulances within their fleet, all vehicles that have played a pivotal part in saving lives throughout the decades. Working with the FBHVC and Tree-V the trust have carbon captured the 5000 miles that the fleet covers each year - as they raise money across London and share their proud history.
Thank you to those that have joined or renewed this year. For those of that haven't had a chance yet, it's just as easy as last year.
