On Drive-It Day owners of vintage and classic Vehicles are encouraged to get them out and about to commemorate the first '1000 mile trial' drive. Held in 1900 it was designed to test the new-fangled motor car and the 1000 mile round trip from London to Edinburgh took some of the cars 3 weeks to complete!
