It was cloudy and showery but the weather couldn't dampen the enthusiasm of the estimated 30,000 historic vehicle fans who took to the UK's roads in celebration of their hobby for the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Club's Drive-It Day.

For the first time this year FBHVC organisers had arranged additional venues across the country which were made available to club organisers as interesting meeting points for their members. These were enthusiastically taken up and anybody who took to the roads on Sunday 26th April could not have failed to see a host of interesting vehicles of all types and ages.

Drive-It Day lead organiser, Ken Coad said, " We have been delighted by this record breaking turnout. Many owners now use Drive-It Day as the start to their season so alot of vehicles were having their first run out of the year. We will take a few moments to enjoy the reports and photos flooding in from our members after which we will dive straight into planning for and even bigger 2015 event."
