Celebrate the 40th anniversary of the National Motorcycle Museum

The National Motorcycle Museum is thrilled to announce a spectacular event to mark our 40th Anniversary! Since opening our doors in 1984, we've been at the heart of preserving and celebrating Great Britain’s motorcycle heritage, and this year’s Museum LIVE 2024 is set to be our most exciting yet.

Museum Live 2024 – a weekend to remember!

Saturday 26 October 2024 and Sunday 27 October 2024 at the National Motorcycle Museum, Coventry Road, Bickenhill, Solihull, B92 0EJ

This two-day extravaganza is packed with special guests, thrilling demonstrations, and new attractions, offering something for everyone—from lifelong enthusiasts to curious newcomers.

To assist visitors, everyone arriving on site will be given a free timetable with a full list & timings of all the weekend’s exciting events.

  • Live Dragster Burnouts: Prepare for an adrenaline rush with our brand-new Dragster Burnout feature. Hosted by Steve Parrish, iconic machines such as the twin Norton engine Hogslayer and World Record breaking sprint bikes such as the Vincent engine Nero will spin their back tires in a wild burnout display of rubber shredding power!
  • Meet newly formed WTF Racing: The sister team to BSB’s OMG Racing - WTF Racing, will be at our event. Meet WTF team rider James Hillier, see his TT and Dakar bikes and hear some of his thrilling stories and insights from the IoM TT and Dakar Rally. Plus, don’t miss out on exclusive merchandise and autograph opportunities!
  • BSA Demo Rides – Test the Best: Excited about the new BSA Goldstar? You can take it for a spin! This year, BSA will be offering demo rides on the new 650cc Goldstar.   • Rachael Clegg Meets:Acclaimed TT journalist and artist Rachael Clegg will host intimate sessions with racing legends, offering fans a rare chance to engage with their heroes. James Hillier will take the stage on Saturday morning, and Steve Parrish will headline and share witty anecdotes on Sunday.

  • Henry Cole & Friends LIVE: Back by popular demand, TV’s effervescent Henry Cole returns with a star-studded line-up, including Allen Millyard, Guy “Skid” Willison, and Fuzz Townsend.

PLUS – as seen on ITV4’s The Motorbike Show & YouTube, if you have been avidly following the rebuild by Allen Millyard of the mighty Norton Nemesis V8, make sure you are there to witness it roaring into life and catch exclusive news of Henry’s world land speed record attempt for a V8 motorcycle!

  • Meet the Experts LIVE: Introduced last year, our second stage will host expert panellists featuring the likes of TT Clerk of the Course - Gary Thompson MBE BEM (Saturday) and H&H auctions motorcycle expert Mike Davis (Sunday). These sessions held over lunch in our Premier Suite food court, will include lively Q&A segments.
  • Specialists LIVE: Your chance to chat with some of the museum’s specialist suppliers, craftsmen, technical wizards, and ask any burning questions you have about all thing’s motorcycles! There will also be fabulous wheel building demos by Central Wheel Components Ltd.
  • Start-Up LIVE: Experience the thunderous roar of legendary race machines, including modern marvels, and vintage classics as well as some of the most famous race machines in the world! Hosted by Steve Plater, our LIVE start-up feature will take place on our main stage in the museum’s Britannia Suite.

Indoor Trade Area & Manufacturers

Keep warm and dry while you explore at your leisure, our expansive indoor trade area, featuring top brands like Central Wheel Components Ltd, Sealey Tools, and H&H Auctions.

Manufacturers in attendance this year offering the chance to view their latest machines - BSA, Royal Enfield, and Norton.  

Plus, a big brand new WTF Racing merchandise stand, adding to the rich variety of vendors.

  • Guided Museum Tours: FREE daily tours around the Museum collection hosted by Classic Bike Magazine’s Rick Parkington.
  • Food Court & Bar: Fantastic catering provided by the museum’s chefs will be available in our Premier Suite food court & bar area. Come early as breakfast will also be available from 8.30am onwards.
  • Museum Shop: Will be open throughout the event fully stocked with a huge range of classic motorcycling books, clothing & memorabilia.
  • Summer Raffle Draw: Yes, the draw for the best classic motorcycle prize in the world – to WIN a 1963 BSA Rocket Gold Star 650cc motorcycle will be drawn by Henry Cole live on stage during the afternoon of Sun 27/10/24. You can purchase raffle tickets online from: www.thenmm.co.uk

* While entry to the Museum is free, a £20.00 parking charge per car applies (motorcycle parking is free). Therefore, given the event’s huge popularity, the museum encourages car sharing which makes this nominal parking charge even better value!
