British Motor Museum shortlisted in the Royal Automobile Club Historic Awards

The British Motor Museum has been selected as one of three finalists in the Collection category in this year’s Royal Automobile Club Historic Awards.
The annual Awards recognise outstanding achievements within the British historic motoring and motorsport world. The judges had an impressive and diverse list of candidates across all 8 categories to scrutinise and will announce the results at a glittering awards ceremony on 23 November at the Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall.
The Museum was shortlisted for a number of reasons, namely celebrating its 30th anniversary with an exciting and thought-provoking exhibition, Transitions: the Impact of Innovation, which looked both back and forward to cover the changing face of car design and motoring. There were special displays and talks around the work the Museum has undertaken going back over three decades, as well as a timeline of 100 MGs to celebrate its centenary, a host of single-marque events and an Auto Art gallery.

Since that first day, the collections have grown dramatically, and millions have passed through our doors to discover the history of the motor industry in Britain, through over 400 historic British vehicles and our amazing archives”.
