Dundee Museum of Transport offers an unforgettable day out with its collection of cars, buses, bicycles and motorcycles spread across four halls. Here you will soak up the stories of local transport innovators and pioneers as well as explore our diverse range of vehicles from both national and local collections and even have the opportunity to get up close and personal with Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. With the help of our enthusiastic volunteers, we pride ourselves in being able to let our visitors sit in some of the vehicles we have on display, making it a fun and interactive day out for the whole family. 

On display we currently have a “Toys and Models” Exhibition which covers 120 years of toy history from Hornby trains to video games. This exhibition features all the classics, like Hot Wheels and Meccano, along with newer forms of entertainment. The forward thinking “Future of Transport” Exhibition also recently launched, featuring electric bicycles, electric cars and a fascinating insight into what me might expect from the future of transport, ranging from driver-less hover-taxis to a space elevator.

Whilst visiting you can also enjoy our new board games café with 150 fun filled board games for all the family. 

We are also restoring a category B tram depot so keep an eye out for the future of Dundee Museum of Transport.
