Following the success of previous events, the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC) will host the next Club Expo on Saturday 18 January 2025 at the British Motor Museum, Banbury Road, Gaydon, Warwickshire, CV35 0BJ. Club Expo 2025 will deliver some new topics in addition to your favourite subjects such as DVLA and Insurance Question time. All discussions will be delivered in a plenary and due to the nature of the information available we shall endeavour to provide an extended lunchbreak to enable you to grab a bite to eat in the cafeteria and take some time to view the museum. Details will be provided in due course. Also featured will be a limited number of interesting companies we wish you to meet including traders whose specialisms are solely for the Club industry. No conflicting businesses will be present. As well as enjoying the talks we hope for you to meet other clubs and help towards building a community of like-minded historic vehicle enthusiasts. You never know, you may learn something invaluable for your club from another!

If you do the Red Route in 2025 then you can do the Green Route in 2026 or vice versa. Entry MUST be by entry form which will will be available on our website or by application to the email from early February There will be no registration permitted on the day There is no set entry fee but a minimum donation of £10 is suggested. Due to generous sponsorship with covers the costs every penny donated goes to the EAAA - the cumulative amount so far raised stands at £73,776.09. The event will be Carbon Balanced under the NNCVC scheme with Tree-V.

Biscester Heritage

This exciting event sees traditional hot rods and customs taking to Bicester Heritage's Experience and Demonstration Track, which at just under 1km in length, has six technical turns and a long straight to test cars to the full. The track is increasingly becoming known as an iconic testing and filming location, so it's the perfect place for the VHRA to host such an exhilarating event. Whilst track time at Throttle is exclusively for members of the VHRA and their VHRA eligible vehicles, spectating is open to all, including access to the pits. We encourage you to come along in your own historic vehicles; hot rods, customs, Yanks, motorbikes, classics and vintage, they're all welcome to attend Throttle. Numbers on all tickets are limited, it is strictly pre-entry, and there will be no tickets available on the gate, so book early to avoid disappointment. Gates open at 9.30am to the public, then at 10am the first of the hot rods will take to the track. From there, we'll be running all day through to 4pm, with just a short stop for lunch. There will be hot food and drink available on site throughout the day.

Now firmly established as a permanent fixture in the VHRA calendar, the VHRA Swap Meet will once again be at the 1940s Camp in Ramsey, Cambridgeshire. It’s a wartime army base that is under restoration, which serves as an excellent backdrop to the automobilia and Americana on sale and display at the event. Trading and attending is open to members and non-members alike. All we ask is, if you are selling goods, they relate to traditional hot rods and customs, early Fords, vintage Americana or the lifestyle that goes along with it. If you’re trading from a pre-63 vehicle we’ll knock something off the price of the pitch. There’s no pre-entry, simply pay on the gate on the day, either as a trader or a shopper. As well as the Swap Meet, there will be a show area for historic vehicles of all kinds. For those that want to arrive early, we’ll be throwing open the doors of the Drill Hall and the NAAFI on Saturday. Camping is available for an overnight stay and included in your pitch fee, which is convenient for an early start on Sunday. On Saturday night we’ll be playing some music, the bar will be open and food will be available. The NAAFI will be open on Sunday from breakfast onwards. Whilst the VHRA are the host club, the event is in association with the Ford Model A and the Early Ford V8 Clubs. We thank them for their support.

Pendine Sands, Carmarthenshire

We are pleased to announce that the twelfth running of the Hot Rod Races will be happening on Pendine Sands over the weekend of 20th & 21st September 2025. Once again there will be two days of non-stop racing action on the historic beach in Carmarthenshire, South Wales. We will be starting around 10am each day and racing for around five to six hours, with high speed thrills from start to finish. Everything is determined by the tide so times can’t be set in stone. This incredible, award winning event has fast become the most important date on the UK hot rod calendar, with participants coming from all over the globe to take part in the world’s fastest and most exciting beach racing competition available to traditional hot rods and customs. Racing is only open to members of the Vintage Hot Rod Association and their pre-1949 hot rods and customs, so it’s guaranteed old time action all the way. There are classes for all types of vehicles and engines, with cars being built just to break class records. All vehicles run on a course with a 1/2 mile run up, followed by a time flying 1/16th of a mile, which is where these antique hot rods can hit speeds in excess of 130 mph. Entry to the pits is for racers and their teams only, but you can spectate for free from outside.
