The Federation launched its survey for individual enthusiasts in March as part of our update of the survey that we undertook in 2011. The 2011 survey concluded that the historic vehicle movement contributed in excess of £4 billion to the UK. We are now moving to the next stage which involves Club activities and the engagement of enthusiast members.
The survey can be found by following this link:
It is only necessary to complete one survey for each club so we ask that you pass this email and the survey link to the most appropriate officer in your club.
We recognise that more than one officer might need to contribute information. To help with this problem a pdf copy can be downloaded
The Federation do not have the resources to load data from hard copy surveys so we would ask that arrangements are made to collect the data and for one of your officers to complete the survey online via the link above.
We believe that the information arising from the survey will not only be useful for the Federation’s work but might also be of interest to Clubs. We will be preparing an anonymised summary of the Club data which will be shared with those Clubs who take part.
At the end of 2015 member clubs were invited to complete a survey concerning the production of rare or difficult to source parts for historic vehicles. The Federation IS now preparing a directory of manufacturers and engineers who are able to assist in parts manufacture. If your Club uses manufacturers or suppliers it is prepared to recommend to other member Clubs please download the nomination form HERE.
