More reports and photos from the 2012 Drive It Day Event

The Ace Cafe in north London was a new refreshment stop venue for Drive It Day this year.

Cars were definitely outnumbered by bikes!

Members of the South Wales Classic Car Club ventured over the border into England via the old A48 through Chepstow and enjoyed a coffee break at the Wyndham Arms, Clearwell before travelling up through the Forest of Dean to visit Gloucester Quays.

In bright morning sunshine – One of three starting points for the Kettering Area Motor Club – in total we had some 38 vehicles on the road to commemorate the event.

The rain eventually came but failed tried to dampen the spirit of the event

West Berkshire Classic Vehicle Club
The West Berkshire Classic Vehicle Club teamed up with AMJ Auto Services in Hungerford to provide a wide variety of activities for their Drive-It Day gathering.

50 members enjoyed an early run out in an eclectic mix of cars and commercials to the newly opened AMJ premises, where bacon rolls, tea and coffee were provided free to classic owners.

The 1100 Club (Surrey area)
The 1100 Club (Surrey area) held their annual Fun Run, starting and finishing in the stunning surroundings of Painshill Park in Cobham. This year the route was around 35 miles, taking in A roads, beauty spots, picturesque villages and sunken country lanes.

A total of 23 cars attended, including a number of BMC 1100s, plus an eclectic range of other classics including Triumph Stags, an MGF, a Mini, a Mk I Ford Escort and an Austin A30!

Uxbridge And District Classic Vehicle Society
Photos from the Uxbridge And District Classic Vehicle Society at our picnic in Mad Bess Woods Ruislip on Drive It Day.

We managed to keep going until 3.00pm when the heavens opened and everyone then went home.

Stag Owners Club
Virtually all of our 42  areas took part in Drive-It Day in some way.  The pictures are of the Warwickshire and Leicestershire area dodging the showers on their run.

They passed the Cambridgeshire area on their run going in the other direction!
