FBHVC at Club Expo

At the Club Expo event held at the Heritage Motor Museum, Gaydon, on 5 December, Nigel Harrison from the Federation gave a presentation called Registering your Historic Motor Vehicle – The Potential Pitfalls.  This topic certainly struck a nerve as around 100 people came along to listen.
The presentation initially looked at a list of useful documents that is available, both from DVLA, the Federation, and other sources. A copy of this list was available to delegates, and is also available by clicking HERE

The session then went on to cover two case studies, one a claim for a particular registration number, and the other a claim for an age related number. Also examined was ‘how not to do it’ and the session ended with a questions and answers. This highlighted potential new problem areas relating to motorcycles as well as a recently documented case relating to the registration of vehicle engine changes, both of which the Federation will follow up and report on shortly.
